How To Boost Your Business’ Digital Presence

March 2, 2021

We are living in a digital world – no surprise there! Sometimes getting your business up and on the move may prove very difficult but it’s really not that tricky. It’s actually simpler than you may think!

A few conversations with BrillArt Kreatives’ MD and Co-Founder, Siphosenkosi Mhlope gave us a few pointers on how you can make your break in the digital space……

1.Have a social media presence

Rule number one of the digital marketing rule book is to actually be on social media. It’s no rocket science. It’s as easy as clicking “create new account” on Instagram and Twitter, or going to your Facebook pages and selecting “create new page”. Be there. Put your brand out there. It makes it easier for your client to find you when they are searching for a product and service.

2.Keep your followers posted

It doesn’t matter if you have 4 followers or 400, your page must be updated on a regular basis. New clients are more likely to choose to work with a business that has a page that is constantly updated because they feel the business is more active and more likely to give them a good service.

3.Find your niche

Another trick to hacking social media is finding out where your niche is. Where is your client on social media? Social media is a vast space and you really can’t reach everyone. Is your client in a Facebook Group? If yes, which one? Once you find them, you can share your products and services to them directly. That way you can make your sales chop chop!

4. “Get on Google”

Those are Sipho’s exact words to us-“Get on Google.” You know how some companies just pop up when you Google them or when you Google certain products and services? Well they are on Google! Getting your business a GoogleMyBusiness account is pretty is, just search GoogleMyBusiness and you could be well on your way to getting on Google.

5.Get a website

On a scale of 1 to 10, how important is a website? Sipho says its an 11 but that’s depending on your business. Consider a website as a shop where people can just walk in, learn about your business, window shop or actually shop. The good news is, while someone can’t window shop services physically, a website gives you the opportunity to make them window shop your services!

That’s that on going digital! Now let’s get the bag!!
